This year’s top 10 will compete on Monday night at the Kennedy Center, judged by choreographer/actress Debbie Allen, go-go music pioneer Chuck Brown, and Emmy-nominated music producer Rickey Minor.

To wit: Eschenbach has inexplicably allowed a middling violinist to hitch his wagon to Eschenbach’s considerable star. Ouch.)
